Instagram is releasing new Notes, Reels, and Stories features. Two of them—Add Yours Music and Reveal—will be released on Friday, while two more will get significant improvements. Instagram’s custom sticker creator Cutouts now allows you to share and repost other people’s public stickers, and Frames, the digital Polaroid sticker, is now accessible worldwide.
A customer favorite is given a musical twist in the first new feature. You may now answer to prompts and questions using music rather than simply words and images by using Add Yours Music. Instagram and Dua Lipa collaborated to showcase the new feature and commemorate Lipa’s most recent album, Radical Optimism, which was also made available on Friday. Your tales take on a sense of mystery thanks to the second new element, Reveals. With the exception of a note you add, using this function will obscure your tale. To see the whole image, your friends will need to direct message you.
A few changes have also been made to Instagram Notes. Additionally, notes may now be shown just above your profile photo. In April, Meta told CNET that a new Notes Prompt feature—think Add Yours for Notes—would be available shortly.
On April 30, Instagram also revealed updates to its system for making recommendations. The improvements will give original material and small producers priority when making recommendations to you. This change aims to prevent aggregators or accounts that repost material that isn’t their own, such as meme accounts that solely share screenshots of popular tweets and videos, in addition to assisting small producers. Instagram will add a new label to original content and promote such posts on its Explore and Reel sections. You will see fewer meme or aggregator accounts on your explore page, but nothing will change to the accounts you follow.
You want your Stories and Reels to truly stand out with these modifications. Here are tips for making the most of each new feature.
How to Use “Add Yours Music” on Instagram
You may use Add Yours Music to share any music in response to an Instagram Story prompt that you see your friends posting. You may tap in, search for, and choose a song from your favorite period, for instance, when an Add Yours Music prompt asks you to submit your favorite Taylor Swift song. Like other Add Yours, the template will fill in the details of your tale with the format of the question, including the font, color, and size of the text. How to utilize them is as follows.
1. To begin a new story, open Instagram and swipe left.
2. Choose or take your own picture to serve as the template’s backdrop, which anybody may use.
3. In the menu at the top, tap the grin symbol.
4. Click on “Add Your Music.”
5. Select “Add music.”
6. Look for and choose the music you want to share.
7. Press “Done.”
8. Share your tale after making any necessary resizing and adjustments.
The template will also include any text, icons, or other components you add to your image. Everyone who taps in will share their music selection, my picture of the field, and the words in the sample I’ve included below.
By selecting Add Yours from the widget on their article, you may quickly tap into someone else’s prompt.
How to Utilize Instagram’s Disclosures
A new feature called “Reveals” conceals your Instagram story so that it can only be seen in full when your followers direct message you. This is how to make one.
1. To begin a new story, open Instagram and swipe left.
2. Choose or take a picture that you want to conceal underneath Reveal.
3. In the menu at the top, tap the grin symbol.
4. Select “Reveal.”
5. Type your message, which is all that your followers will see.
6. Press “Done.”
7. To preview what your followers will see, tap Preview in the bottom left corner.
8. Share your tale after making any necessary resizing and adjustments.

How to apply cutout stickers on Instagram Stories
You may create cutouts, which are stickers, from your photos and use them in your Instagram Stories and Reels. You choose the image, highlight the desired portion, and then save and include it in any subsequent tales you write. This is how to make a cutout for Instagram.
1. To start a new story, open Instagram and swipe right.
2. Pick a backdrop picture.
3. From the top menu, tap the sticky note symbol.
4. Press Cutouts.
5. Choose the image you like to use. It will automatically create a sticker. Tap Select Manually to highlight the desired portion of the sticker if you don’t like the one Instagram creates.
6. To complete the Cutout, tap Create sticker.
7. The sticker will be kept next to Cutouts under Stickers, where you may use it now or add it to your tale later.
Tap and hold until the Delete option shows up to remove a personalized sticker.
