This Unknown Tip Can Help You Maintain the Notes App’s Organization on Your iPhone

At its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9, Apple said that iOS 26 will be the next operating system release for the iPhone. According to the tech behemoth, iOS 26 will give your iPhone a translucent glass look for menus and icons, among other things, starting this autumn. However, Apple made it simple to keep your Notes app more organized with collapsible sections when it introduced iOS 18 in September.

Other methods, such as using tags, may help keep notes structured, but they often only apply to the whole note and not its contents. You can keep the information in individual notes neat and orderly using collapsible sections, making it simple to locate what you’re searching for.

To keep Notes structured, follow these steps to create sections that can be folded up.

How to make parts that can be folded up

Sections may be expanded and collapsed by tapping the gray arrows on the left side of the screen.

First, open notes.
2. Tap the square with a pen, which is the new note button, located in the lower right corner of your screen.
3. Give the note a title, such as the weeks of the month.
4. In the toolbar at the top of your keyboard, tap the Aa. To access the toolbar, you may need to touch the plus (+) symbol in the upper right corner of your keyboard.
5. To give your parts names, such as the days of the week, tap Heading or Subheading.
6. Complete the fields under your headings and subheadings.
7. A down arrow will show up to the left of your headers or subheadings when you tap the area directly in front of them.
8. Everything under the header or subheading will collapse if you tap that arrow.

It’s crucial to remember that headers, subheadings, and titles won’t blend into one another. However, if a subheading is placed underneath a heading, it may collapse into the header. Additionally, if a note has more than one title, everything will go under one.

You can now maintain order and neatness in your notes. In order to conveniently review my work from earlier in the week or remind myself of my impending tasks, I have used the tool to keep track of my meetings and work week.
